THE POWER OF LANGUAGE
Language makes us human.

Language – its power and its possibilities – is the heart of PROSPERO’s
work.

Through the effective use of language, we build relationships, teams,
communities, and companies.

When people understand the centrality of communication in the
workplace, they stop treating it as an afterthought.

Communication is the glue that holds organizations
together.

When leaders communicate, their message is carried not just by the
words, but by the voice and the body as well.

Leadership is a performance art.

Language is a primary tool of leadership, and that tool is accessible to
all. Language can be studied. Leadership can be learned.

We can develop our ability to use language effectively, even
inspirationally.

We can learn to speak powerfully in relating to others so that our words
make an impact.
In addition to the products & services side of
business, there is
the people side of business
knowing how to talk with people and how to work
with them.

Some call these “soft skills”. We call them
people
skills
– being able to speak, listen, lead, present,
relate, sell, manage, negotiate. In a team setting, it
requires the ability to think out loud together, to
exchange ideas and make them better, to strategize,
to decide, to develop plans that can be and will be
implemented.
